
Kalyan Chatterjee (Bengali: āĻāϞā§āϝāĻžāĻŖ āĻā§āϝāĻžāĻāĻžāϰā§āĻā§; 31 July 1944 â 7 December 2025) was an Indian actor recognized for his work in Bengali cinema, and considered to be one of the most famous character actors of Bengali Cinema. Chatterjee's student film '37 Down Manmad Passenger' was released in 1967. He acted in Satyajit Ray's âPratidwandi', Tapan Sinha's âApanjan', âSagina Mahato', âSabuj Dwiper Raja', âSafed Hati', MS Sathyu's âKahan Kahan Se Guzar Gaye', Arabinda Mukhopadhyay âDhonni Meye', Basu Chatterjee's âByomkesh Bakshi', Goutam Ghose's âPaar' and âAntarjali Jatra', Sujoy Ghosh's âKahaani' and Sanjiban Nath's âThe Waltz'.
